Job summary

Parsons is seeking a Design Manager - Nuclear Facilities to lead a multidisciplinary design team in the development of next-generation nuclear fuel production and waste processing facilities.

You will manage staffing, schedules, budgets, and regulatory compliance, coordinating engineers, architects, BIM specialists, and project managers to deliver PE-sealed construction documents that meet stringent requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (ABET accredited)
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration preferred
• 15+ years of production design experience with PE sealed documents
• 8+ years of supervisory/managerial design management experience
• Experience on projects with total installed costs >$100M USD
• DoE and NRC nuclear regulatory knowledge and approvals experience

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary design team of engineers, architects, BIM specialists, and staff
• Generate staffing budgets and assignment schedules
• Maintain staffing levels and forecast staffing needs
• Manage all engineering and design efforts across disciplines
• Coordinate discipline staffing requirements and monitor progress
• Ensure design standards and procedures meet project needs and client policies
• Support pre-contract and business development as a technical consultant
• Deliver PE-sealed construction documents within budgets
