Job summary

Kiewit Nuclear Solutions is seeking an experienced Design Engineering Manager to lead planning, coordination, and delivery of engineering for nuclear projects. The role oversees multi-discipline teams, manages EPC and design-build efforts, and guides pursuit estimates with a focus on safety, quality, and schedule.

The position requires senior-level leadership, deep nuclear market knowledge, and frequent interaction with clients and senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related technical field with 15+ years of progressively complex experience in managing multidiscipline projects relevant to the nuclear market.
• Five or more years’ experience performing engineering-related design within the nuclear markets, preferred
• PE license is highly desirable
• Strong communication, leadership, presentation, and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of engineering work for projects in the nuclear market.
• Manage EPC and design-build projects, including pursuit estimates when required.
• Balance multiple priorities across single large projects or several smaller projects.
• Communicate project status to senior management with regular reports and presentations.
• Lead the engineering portion of project pursuit by developing technical scope, schedule, and cost estimates.
• Ensure client satisfaction and strong cross-discipline coordination across teams.
