Job summary

Kiewit Nuclear Solutions is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing nuclear market team. You will contribute to safe, cost-effective, and innovative equipment designs across multiple locations including Lenexa, KS, with occasional travel.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years as a Mechanical Engineer and DOE nuclear design exposure, plus strong ASME code knowledge and GD&T skills. This full-time role offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited four-year university.
• 15+ years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer; nuclear DOE exp desired.
• FE/EIT recommended; PE license preferred; strong ASME knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Carry out integrated engineering processes to meet project goals and deadlines.
• Author and review designs, specifications, analyses, and drawings.
• Create and assess concept drawings for equipment with multidisciplinary input.
• Identify, define, and resolve issues within assigned scope.
• Ensure quality assurance and timely project delivery; travel <20%.
