Job summary

Kiewit Nuclear Solutions is seeking experienced Mechanical Design Engineers to join our team in the growing nuclear market. We collaborate across design, fabrication, and construction to deliver safe, cost-effective, and innovative equipment designs that meet client expectations and support Kiewit’s legacy of excellence.

Primary locations include Lenexa, KS; Oak Ridge, TN; Lonetree, CO; Houston, TX; Aiken, SC, with occasional hybrid work coordinated with your supervisor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited four-year university.
• 7–10+ years in commercial or DOE nuclear design; FE/EIT recommended; PE license preferred.
• Proficiency with ASME codes and equipment design practices.

Responsibilities

• Carry out integrated engineering processes to meet project goals and deadlines.
• Author and review designs, specifications, analyses, and drawings in line with engineering standards.
• Create and assess concept drawings for equipment using multidisciplinary input.
• Identify, define, and resolve issues within assigned scope.
• Ensure compliance with strict quality assurance standards and timely project delivery.
• Occasional travel required (less than 20%).
