Job summary

You will evaluate accident sequences, ensure NRC compliance, and provide safety input to operations. The role requires a engineering degree, US citizenship, and ability to obtain a DOE clearance; nuclear engineering background is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance.
• Nuclear engineering knowledge or background is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform Nuclear Criticality Safety evaluations to define safety bases.
• Run computer models to assess normal operations and upsets against NRC limits.
• Assess accident sequences and designate items relied on for safety to prevent incidents.
• Conduct surveillance, inspections, and audits of licensed material areas to ensure NRC compliance.
• Provide NCS input and oversight to operational areas as needed.
