This on-site role supports the Advanced Technologies Office and integrates across nuclear disciplines. The position requires a 4+ year background in nuclear operations or engineering, US citizenship, and the ability to obtain DOE/DOD clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or physics is required.
• Minimum of four years in nuclear operations or engineering.
• Familiar with interrelationships of reactor systems and safety.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain DOE/DOD clearance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of reactor operating strategies.
• Prepare reactor operating procedures for normal and off-normal conditions.
• Coordinate across disciplines to ensure safe, efficient plant operations.
• Support reactor simulator development and control algorithm design.
• Collaborate with designers to improve maintainability.
