Job summary

General Matter is seeking a Construction Quality Control/Assurance (QC/QA) Specialist to work with project teams from pre-construction through turnover to operations. The QC/QA Specialist documents and manages quality of all construction scopes for a project in accordance with NQA-1 or similar rigorous quality assurance requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Engineering Technologist Diploma preferred.
• 5+ years of field construction experience supervising QA/QC inspections on large capital projects.
• Experience with quality requirements for installation and fabrication of process piping per or B31.3.
• Experience performing leak tests per ASME B31.3.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DOE Q clearance or site security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Identify risks and discrepancies during daily site walks with documentation.
• Provide oversight surveillance of contractors for quality activities.
• Perform system verifications to ensure correct installation per design specifications.
• Maintain knowledge of the company’s values and strategic plan.
• Track nonconformances, reports, and corrective actions through closure.
