Job summary

Framatome is seeking a Project Engineer in Lynchburg, VA to drive cross-functional engineering initiatives within the Component Replacement & Repair Business Unit. You will coordinate operations, communicate with Framatome teams and customers, and own project schedules to meet objectives.

This role demands 7+ years of related experience, strong leadership, and excellent written/verbal communication. A BS in a related engineering field is required, with onsite work in Lynchburg, VA.

Qualifications

• Completion of a BS in Physics, Engineering Technology, Engineering Science, or a related Engineering degree.
• At least 7 years of directly related experience.
• Possesses comprehensive knowledge in particular field of specialization and has completed significant assignments.
• Has well-developed leadership qualities.
• Superb written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with PC-based applications such as MS Office.
• Ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and management.
• Ability to change priorities quickly, confront issues directly and work well as part of a team.
• Business acumen.

Responsibilities

• May coordinate day-to-day operations of engineers and others who assist in completion of specific project assignments.
• Coordinates communication with other Framatome organizations and customers to resolve questions, plan, and coordinate work.
• Facilitates development of plans and cost improvement programs that allow the project to achieve its business objectives.
• Technical integration of engineering deliverables, such as specifications, technical position papers, and design reports as necessary.
• Review engineering calculations or technical documents for accuracy, appropriate content and contractual requirements
• Ownership of project schedule and execution to achieve success
• Knowledge of nuclear, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a drive for problem solving in a dynamic environment.
