Job summary

Framatome in Lynchburg, VA, seeks an experienced engineer to support licensing activities for commercial nuclear reactor fuel products. You will work with Project Managers and engineering teams on large multi-disciplinary projects, create and execute project plans, and communicate status updates to management and customers.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in Engineering, at least 3 years of related experience, and strong technical writing and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field required; advanced degrees optional depending on position.
• Minimum 3 years of related experience in engineering roles.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across teams.
• Knowledge of engineering standards, techniques and criteria.

Responsibilities

• Support licensing of fuel products in commercial nuclear reactors.
• Create and execute project plans with project managers and engineering teams.
• Coordinate status updates from multiple engineering disciplines.
• Provide status updates to management and customers or regulators.
• Facilitate technical issue resolution across neutronics, safety analysis, thermal-hydraulics, or fuel rod analyses.
• Deliver effective communication and drive process improvements.
