Job summary

Grand Canyon University Inc. in Phoenix seeks a Peer Advisor to support the NSF MAXUS S-STEM program, monitor resources, and assist students pursuing medical, pre-health, and science tracks.

You will meet with scholars to discuss career goals and requirements to stay on track in their programs. The role involves scheduling meetings, delivering presentations, setting up tours and panels, and helping build resources and SOPs.

Qualifications

• Must be a motivated, friendly student enrolled at GCU and able to work with diverse student populations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Available for in-person work over the summer and within 30 miles of GCU campus.

Responsibilities

• Meets with students through scheduled appointments or weekly meetings.
• Delivers presentations and assists with program activities.
• Sets up industry tours and alumni panels.
• Processes data and updates student outcomes; creates resources and posters.
• Assists with development of SOPs and student support materials.
