Job summary

Commonwealth Fusion Systems LLC seeks talented NRad and Nuclear/Systems Engineering Interns for 13–18 week programs at Devens, MA. You’ll engage in neutronics calculations, support design and safety analyses, and contribute to method development in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

Open to undergrads through PhD students, with on-site work and transportation/housing responsibility. Interns must be authorized to work in the United States; rates vary by year in school and degree level.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an engineering degree focused in Nuclear or Mechanical Engineering.
• Must have coursework in Neutron Transport/Neutronics or Reactor Theory by start.
• Experience with MCNP/OpenMC or related neutronics tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support neutronics analyses for SPARC/ARC projects and diagnostics.
• Participate in design effort through computational method development.
• Collaborate across Nuclear and Systems teams on safety-compliant analyses.
