Job summary

BWX Technologies, Inc. invites applications for a Summer 2027 Mechanical Analysis Intern position based in Lynchburg, VA. The intern will support the Advanced Technologies Office with developing and implementing unique engineering solutions for nuclear environments.

The role requires currently enrolled students in engineering or physics and US citizenship, with housing stipend options and a strong emphasis on collaboration across generations to drive energy innovation.

Qualifications

• Must be a currently enrolled student pursuing a degree in engineering or physics.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver unique engineering solutions used in a nuclear environment.
• Create/Update drawings and procedures, design, test, examine, project management and procure materials as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Develop and present final reports.
