Job summary

SIMCO, LLC, the managing and operating contractor of the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP), seeks a Quality Assurance Analyst/Specialist in Los Alamos, NM.

The role focuses on qualifying as a Nuclear Qualified Assurance - 1 Lead Auditor, conducting assessments, developing checklists and reports, and ensuring compliance with NQA-1/10 CFR 830 programs; travel for assessments may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Ability to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the WIPP site.
• Preferred: NQA-1 Lead Auditor Certification or ASQ certification.

Responsibilities

• Qualify as NQA Lead Auditor and perform assessments.
• Develop checklists, assessment plans and reports per NQA-1/10 CFR 830.
• Review procedures and procurement documents for QA compliance.
• Travel to lead and participate in assessments as needed.
