Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Lead Auditor to own and drive the audit program under our nuclear QA framework aligned with ASME NQA-1. You will plan the annual audit schedule, lead internal and supplier audits, and write reports with verification of corrective actions.

You will supervise auditors and specialists, maintain qualification records, and support NRC-style audits, with strong independence and authority to halt nonconforming work.

Qualifications

• Current qualification as an NQA-1 Lead Auditor, or qualifiable within 90 days.
• 5+ years in nuclear quality assurance.
• Experience auditing to 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1.
• Working knowledge of construction materials testing, special inspection, or geotechnical services preferred.
• Writes audit reports that an NRC inspector could follow without a conversation.
• Comfortable delivering findings to the people who caused them.

Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain the audit schedule for the nuclear QA program.
• Lead audits end to end - notification, checklist, entrance meeting, objective evidence, findings, exit meeting, report; supervise auditors and specialists.
• Evaluate and audit suppliers of safety-related items and services.
• Recommend approved-supplier-list additions, conditions, and removals; perform surveillances.
• Classify findings, issue corrective-action requests, verify effectiveness, and close them with evidence.
• Maintain lead-auditor and auditor qualification records; support audits of our program.
