Applied Materials, Inc. is seeking a DDP NPI instructor based in Austin, TX or Santa Clara, CA.

The role blends technical instruction with product training, requiring hands‑on lab work and classroom delivery to learn, train, and certify users as new tools move to volume production. You will develop training curricula, materials, and assessments while gaining deep knowledge of both existing and new semiconductor equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering, education, or training, or equivalent military experience, PLUS 4 years of professional semiconductor equipment experience.
• If you have no bachelor’s degree, 6 years of professional semiconductor equipment experience and 2 years of formal or informal training/presentation delivery to external customers is desirable.
• Preferred - Instructional design certification or curriculum development experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized New Product Introduction (NPI) technical training in‑house and at customer locations, requiring domestic and international travel.
• Manage classroom and lab activities to ensure course objectives are met and safety procedures are followed.
• Train and certify others; establish new certification requirements.
• Develop and update training curriculum, student guides, and supporting materials.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing on the first chamber build and participate in final testing.
• Provide coaching and leadership to other instructors; mentor less senior instructors.
