Job summary

Applied Materials is seeking a DDP New Product Introduction (NPI) instructor based in Austin, TX or Santa Clara, CA. You will deliver specialized training, develop curricula, certify instructors, and travel to customer sites as needed.

The role combines teaching, training development, and hands-on technical work to support new tools and processes, ensuring quick ramp to production with robust documentation and certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering, education, or training, or equivalent military experience.
• 4+ years of professional semiconductor equipment experience (installation, programming, safety, maintenance, operation, troubleshooting).
• 2+ years of formal or informal experience in education or training delivery.

Responsibilities

• Deliver NPI technical training in-house and at customer locations with domestic/international travel.
• Learn and maintain knowledge of new and existing products to deliver defined courses.
• Develop course materials, structure, and certification requirements.
• Coordinate factory OJT and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Lead and mentor other instructors in class delivery and certification.
