Job summary

Applied Materials, Inc. is seeking an MDP New Product Introduction (NPI) instructor based in the United States. The role combines classroom training and hands-on technical leadership, delivering courses on new and existing semiconductor tools.

You will develop curricula, certify instructors, and collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and global training teams. The position requires travel up to 35% and a strong background in semiconductor equipment and instructional design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering, education, or training, or equivalent military experience, PLUS 4 years of professional semiconductor equipment experience.
• If you have no bachelor’s degree, 6 years of professional semiconductor equipment experience.
• 2 years of formal or informal experience in education, performance-based training, or training/presentation delivery to external customers is desirable.
• Preferred certification in Instructional Design or curriculum development experience; experience with Applied Materials equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized New Product Introduction (NPI) technical training in-house and at customer locations, requiring travel.
• Learn and maintain comprehensive technical knowledge of new products to prepare and present defined courses.
• Develop course materials, certification requirements and PDP-aligned training content.
• Provide coaching and leadership to other instructors and mentor less experienced staff.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing on first chamber builds and final testing.
