Job summary
Generac Power Systems Inc in Wisconsin is seeking an NPI Specialist to lead procurement and project-management activities for new product introductions. You will work with Strategic Global Sourcing to ensure timely material delivery, analyze supplier quotes, and drive PPAP and ECO processes.
The role requires collaboration across engineering and production to optimize costs and timelines. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Supply Chain (or related field) and strong communication,
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or related field (or 4 years related experience).
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; solid quantitative and problem solving abilities.
Responsibilities
- Participate in product platform value chain by ensuring program deliverables are met by timely delivery of material.
- Analyze quotations from different suppliers, utilizing total cost of ownership tools and should cost analysis.
- Negotiate with suppliers on cost and project timelines; manage PPAP orders for new or sustaining parts.
- Update and maintain the Costed Bill of Materials (CBOM) for each NPI project.
- Manage On Time Delivery performance and part releases during development phases.
- Support transfer of material purchasing responsibility after PPAP approval; manage ECOs related to 3 year plan.
