Job summary

Generac is seeking an NPI Specialist to drive project management for new product materials, including RFQ, tooling, PPAP, and transfer activities. You will collaborate with Strategic Global Sourcing and cross‑functional teams to ensure timely material delivery and manage cost impacts across NPIs and end-of-life changes.

The role requires strong project management, supplier negotiation, and data-driven decision making, with SAP experience and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or related field.
• 4+ years related experience in the Supply Chain field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in product platform value chain ensuring timely material delivery.
• Analyze supplier quotations using total cost of ownership (TCO) tools and should cost analysis.
• Negotiate with suppliers on cost, parts, tooling, and project timelines.
• Update and maintain the Costed BOM (CBOM) for each NPI project.
• Manage On Time Delivery (OTD) performance during prototype and development phases.
• Coordinate PPAP orders for new parts and sustaining or end-of-life changes.
• Work with engineering on part releases and ECOs affecting 3-year product plan.
