Job summary

Trelleborg Group is seeking a Quality Engineer (Part Approval) for an on-site role in Fort Wayne, IN. You will manage customer and supplier PPAP/CCP documentation for NPI/APQP, part changes, and annual revalidation, interfacing with Supply Chain Management and Quality teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, 3+ years of quality experience, and experience with reading drawings, PFMEA, and AIAG Core Tools. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years quality experience.
• Quality management system auditor certification preferred.
• Experience reading and understanding part drawings/specifications.
• Experience in distribution/manufacturing/lean environment a plus.
• AIAG Core Tools knowledge preferred.
• Sealing applications, rubber, plastics production preferred.
• Six Sigma green/black belt preferred.
• Root cause analysis methods (Ishikawa, 5 Why, 8D) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate customer and supplier part approval documentation (PPAP/CCP).
• Prepare, review and approve Process Flow, PFMEA, and related QC docs.
• Analyze dependencies, procedures and training adequacy.
• Assess KPIs and measurement systems, run charts and capability data.
• Develop new process flow maps and validation activities.
• Support customer complaint investigations and corrective actions.
