Job summary
Central Plastics in Tracy, CA is seeking an NPI Project Engineer to lead new product introductions from concept to production, working on injection molding and thermoforming. You will develop plans, define requirements, support DFM, tooling, and process development, and monitor timelines, budgets, and risks.
You will prepare documents and reports and ensure compliance with quality, regulatory and customer requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong project engineering and electrical engineering capabilities.
- Proven project planning and cross‑functional coordination.
- Excellent communication with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
- Experience in plastics manufacturing, injection molding or thermoforming.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) or equivalent.
- Familiarity with NPI processes, CAD, manufacturing docs, and quality systems.
- Analytical, problem-solving, and organized, with on-site shop-floor support.

- Lead NPI projects from concept thru production.
- Develop project plans and define technical requirements.
- Oversee DFM and tooling/process development.
