Job summary

Extron in Anaheim, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to plan, direct, and coordinate manufacturing processes for the audio/video product line. You will serve as the primary manufacturing liaison to cross-functional teams and provide real-time DFM, DFA, and DFT input for new products.

The role requires reading mechanical and electrical drawings, experience with PCB assembly, and a proven ability to lead problem-solving teams from development into production.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Process, or Industrial Engineering.
• 2-5 years’ experience introducing products to manufacturing.
• Experience with PCB assembly and electro-mechanical components.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate manufacturing processes in audio/video product line.
• Serve as primary manufacturing representative to cross-functional teams for product development and product introduction; provide real-time DFM/DFT for new products.
• Serve as manufacturing liaison with the Engineering department on manufacturing problems and engineering changes.
• Work on new products during the Product Proposal phase; monitor and analyze projects for scheduling and ship dates.
• Coordinate and organize schedules for all phases leading from development into production as products milestone.
• Support the production lines for technical issues, preventive and corrective maintenance, and day-to-day activities.
