Extron is seeking an AV Systems Design Engineer to support its network of consultants and integrators. This customer-facing role blends advanced AV system design with technical sales, delivering designs, training, and recommendations from initial concept through commissioning.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years designing professional AV systems, strong presentation skills, and experience with system diagrams, on-site commissioning, and customer-focused solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience designing professional AV systems.
• Ability to translate technical information into clear customer benefits and practical system recommendations.
• Experience delivering technical presentations or training to groups of various sizes.
• Strong relationship-building, consultative communication, and presentation skills.
• Experience conducting onsite commissioning and troubleshooting AV system installations.

Responsibilities

• Assist consultants and integrators with the development of Extron AV system designs and documentation.
• Review AV system RFQs, drawings, and specifications to develop accurate bills of materials.
• Recommend appropriate Extron products and system architectures based on customer requirements.
• Provide commissioning support for advanced Extron AV solutions.
• Serve as an escalation resource for troubleshooting complex AV systems.
• Conduct on-site product demonstrations and technical presentations.
