Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Lafayette, IN is seeking a Project Team Leader for the Large Power Systems Division to drive a high-visibility capacity expansion initiative.

You will lead cross-functional teams using the NPI/NSI processes to deliver incremental 3600 engines/gensets from launch through gateway 6. Coordinate with Orders, Scheduling, Logistics, Supply Chain and Operations to manage resources and costs, while reporting progress to stakeholders and building team capability for future

Qualifications

Planning: Tactical, strategic planning with short-term and long-term horizons.
Effective communications: clear, targeted communication with stakeholders.
Problem solving: identify, anticipate and resolve operational issues.
Program management: coordinate related projects within a program to meet objectives.

Responsibilities

Coordinate with Orders/Scheduling, Logistics, Supply Chain, Assembly/Test, Operations and Manufacturing Engineering to manage resources for each deliverable.
Oversee project progress and capital costs; communicate status with stakeholders and address issues.
Influence staffing; motivate and develop the project team and members.
Communicate with customers and manage expectations; ensure effective project controls and reporting.
