Job summary

Advanced Energy in Eden Prairie, MN is seeking an Engineering Planner I to support New Product Introduction planning, scheduling, and material coordination across engineering, supply chain, quality, and manufacturing. This role ensures material availability and schedule alignment to drive PDP deliverables under general supervision while developing expertise in ERP systems and SAP BOM management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Finance, Materials Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, or equivalent education required.
• APICS or CPM certification preferred.
• Experience with SAP/ERP and MRP processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates production plans for new products ensuring availability of material to meet project schedules.
• Supports on-time delivery goals by monitoring schedules and coordinating material availability.
• Works to resolve capacity, material constraints and schedule interruptions.
• Approves unit quantities, schedules and parts lists to ensure timely ordering and receipt of materials.
• Coordinates and implements NPI ECOs per established processes.
• Coordinates with engineering to create and maintain BOMs in SAP.
• Manages release of parts, modules, and units to production.
• Creates and maintains work orders, purchase requests and internal transfer orders.
• Supports planning, scheduling, coordination, and tracking through PDP.
