Job summary

Advanced Energy, Milpitas, California, is seeking a Materials Planner to support design teams and key NPI processes. You will align material needs with project deliverables and update the Bill of Materials to help accelerate the R&D process in collaboration with Engineering.

The candidate should have a background in SAP ERP with BOM management, 5+ years in Purchasing/Planning, a BS in a related field, and APICS/CPIM certification is a plus. Compensation ranges from $80,000 to $110,000 per year.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a Purchasing/Planning role
• Basic understanding of manufacturing planning/scheduling and the processes associated with MRP/ERP, SAP preferred
• Experience working in a team and group setting, collaborating across all levels of an organization

Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules, coordinates and/or monitors final approval of products through the PDP
• Coordinates production plans for new products ensuring material availability to meet schedules
• Manages on-time delivery goals of products by committed ship date
• Addresses capacity and material constraints to avoid schedule interruptions
• Approves unit quantities, schedules and parts lists for material control and production
• Manages NPI Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
• Coordinates with engineering to create and maintain BOMs in SAP
• Manages release of parts, modules, and units to production
• Creates and maintains work orders, purchase requests and transfer orders
