Job summary

Spectrum Control invites a Planner—New Product Introduction to join our Marlborough, MA team. This role focuses on creating and maintaining master production schedules for products and subassemblies, with emphasis on NPI scheduling and material readiness to meet launch timelines.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Operations, PM, and suppliers to balance delivery, inventory, and cost objectives while supporting legacy products as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years in production planning and purchasing in manufacturing.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn new products, systems, and processes quickly; hands-on problem solving.
• Ability to work across functions and balance priorities with production needs.
• Proficient in ERP/MRP, Microsoft Office, and Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain master production schedules for products and subassemblies.
• Plan material needs and coordinate availability for development builds and launches.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, PM, and suppliers to align schedules and resolve shortages.
• Coordinate internal and external builds, including experiments and subcontracted work.
• Communicate demand and schedule changes to Purchasing and Manufacturing.
• Place purchase orders and follow up with suppliers on delivery commitments.
• Support planning and buying for legacy products as needed.
• Coordinate planning and material impacts of engineering changes and returns.
• Monitor delivery performance and maintain planning data in systems.
• Identify opportunities to improve planning through automation and AI.
