Pentair is seeking an NPI Mechanical Engineer to lead the end-to-end new product introduction process at our Apex, NC site. You will drive manufacturability, scalability, and continuous improvement from design through ramp-up, partnering with design and NPD teams to ensure successful production launches.

The role requires a bachelor’s in mechanical or industrial engineering and at least 5 years in NPI within high-volume manufacturing, with strong communication and global collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of NPI engineering experience in high-volume manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of manufacturability, capacity planning, and line scaling.

Responsabilités

• Lead end-to-end NPI process from development to manufacturing handoff.
• Drive DFM, DFA, DFT with design teams.
• Plan pilot builds, pre-production, and ramp-up activities.
• Develop scalable manufacturing processes and line layouts using Lean.
• Lead cross-functional problem-solving and PFMEA activities.
• Coordinate with supply chain, quality, and operations to meet targets.
• Utilize Lean tools like value stream mapping, 5S, Kaizen, mistake-proofing.
• Design, fabricate and deploy manufacturing equipment and tooling.
• Communicate project status to stakeholders and ensure sustained results.
• Travel up to 25% as needed.
