Job summary

Amperesand, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Technician Supervisor to lead a team of technicians supporting mechanical and electrical assembly, NPI builds, and prototype equipment setup.

This hands‑on leadership role involves assigning work, clearing roadblocks, and ensuring builds meet schedule and quality targets. You will train technicians, monitor labor hours, and collaborate with engineers on prototypes, test fixtures, and manufacturability feedback, while maintaining strict safety standards

Qualifications

• 7+ years in assembly, testing, or support of electro‑mechanical equipment or NPI builds.
• Experience leading day‑to‑day technician work in fast‑paced environments.
• Experience managing labor, timekeeping, overtime, and shift coverage.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise engineering technicians on mechanical/electrical assembly, NPI builds, and prototype setup.
• Own day‑to‑day execution, ensuring schedules, quality, and safety, and escalate issues quickly.
• Track and approve timecards and labor hours to support planning and efficiency.
• Deliver on‑the‑job training for technicians to build proficiency.
• Work hands‑on with the team on installation, wiring, and commissioning of equipment.
• Collaborate with engineers on prototypes, test fixtures, and DFM feedback.
• Support product and process validation, including qualification protocols and data collection.
• Uphold safety standards and promptly address hazards in the lab.
