Job summary

Veza Manufacturing, LLC in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Project Engineer to move customer projects from concept to production. You’ll collaborate across Engineering, Purchasing, Account Management, and Production to ensure solutions are manufacturable, cost-effective, and launch-ready.

You will lead quotes, BOMs, ECOs, and NPI activities while driving continuous improvement and sustaining project timing from quotation through production release.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field) preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment (wire harness, cable assembly, or electronics preferred).
• Minimum 1 year of experience with CAD software.
• Experience working with ERP/MRP systems.
• Aerospace/defense/government contract experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope with customers and develop technically sound proposals.
• Develop accurate, profitable project quotations including costs and tooling.
• Review designs for manufacturability and feasibility.
• Define BOMs with cross-functional teams.
• Plan labor, processes, tooling, and production methods.
• Lead ECOs and maintain manufacturing docs.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and transition to production.
• Communicate project status to stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement across quality, cost, and efficiency.
