Job summary

First Solar is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to lead the transfer of new process and product programs from pre-production through qualification to full implementation. You will develop master schedules, ramp plans, and budgets while coordinating across cross-functional teams and providing updates to executives.

The role requires strong CMS experience, ability to manage multiple stakeholders, and travel as needed to support global programs.

Qualifications

• Associates degree with 2 years’ experience as First Solar Manufacturing Engineer I or 3 years engineering experience in desired areas
• Bachelor’s degree with 2 years as First Solar Manufacturing Engineer I or 3 years engineering experience in a manufacturing setting
• MS Degree with 2 years as First Solar Manufacturing Engineer I or 4 years engineering experience in a manufacturing setting
• PhD Degree with 0-3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting

Responsibilities

• Lead transfer of new process/product programs from pre-production through manufacturing qualification to full implementation
• Develop master schedule, downtime and ramp plans, and manage budget
• Coordinate activities across cross functional teams and provide updates to stakeholders
• Manage program downtime, throughput and key tests, and ensure schedules are met
• Travel domestically and internationally as required
