Job summary

First Solar Inc. is seeking an Engineer- Manufacturing Technology Scaling Principal USA to lead scale-up and qualification of new processes and equipment from R&D to full-scale manufacturing.

You will work cross-functionally with Development Engineering, Supply-Chain, EHS and Quality to drive improvements. The role requires strong data analytics using JMP, SAS, or Minitab and hands-on experience with thin-film deposition, photovolatic manufacturing processes, and stage-gate project leadership.

Qualifications

• More than 8 years of process engineering or R&D experience in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead scale-up and qualification of new processes and equipment from R&D to high-volume manufacturing.
• Initiate and lead complex equipment or process changes following CMS stage-gate process.
• Troubleshoot equipment and processes to improve Safety, Throughput, Yield and Performance.
