VulcanForms Inc. is seeking an NPI Manufacturing Process Development Engineer I, Consumer Technology, to help translate customer designs into repeatable, high-quality products.

You will work under experienced engineers across laser processing, heat treatment, and post-print operations, building hands-on expertise in advanced manufacturing. The role focuses on collecting data, performing defined experiments, and contributing to a lean digital manufacturing workflow within a fast-paced production

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a materials/mechanical/chemical engineering discipline.
• 0–2 years of relevant engineering experience; internships/co-ops welcome.
• Foundational engineering principles related to manufacturing processes and materials.
• Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and interpret engineering data.
• Basic knowledge of statistics or DOE/ SPC through coursework or experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers with development and documentation of 3D digital manufacturing processes.
• Execute defined experiments and test plans to evaluate process parameters and material behavior.
• Collect and analyze manufacturing data to identify trends for process improvement.
• Support monitoring of process performance and deviations from specifications.
• Document results in test reports, work instructions, and SOPs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address routine manufacturing issues.
• Assist with DFAM activities translating customer designs into manufacturable processes.
