Job summary

Wabtec is seeking an Operations Development Lead Manufacturing Engineer - NPI to drive the transition of new products from design to manufacturing. You will define manufacturing requirements, develop schedules, and manage cross-functional deliverables to ensure on-time, on-budget product launches with quality targets.

The role requires collaboration with product engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing teams, design for manufacturing, and DFSS rigor to mitigate risk across multi-year

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in Engineering/Operations Management or Applied Science.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Manufacturing environment and product development.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally to support Platform initiatives and global NPI’s.

Responsibilities

• Participate in early-stage product development and define manufacturing requirements.
• Develop schedules, set milestones and coordinate activities across teams.
• Conduct manufacturing readiness assessments and transition designs to production.
• Drive on-time launches within budget and quality targets.
• Act as manufacturing liaison to Engineering and Operations; resolve technical issues.
• Collaborate to develop efficient manufacturing methods, tooling, and processes.
• Provide feedback with lessons learned from rollouts to improve future designs.
