Job summary

Salcomp Manufacturing USA seeks a Senior NPI Engineer to lead the introduction of new products from development through scalable manufacturing. You will partner with contract manufacturers, suppliers, and global teams to ensure successful product launches and a smooth transition to high-volume manufacturing.

You will drive manufacturability reviews, validation activities, and continuous improvement to ensure product quality, reliability, and production readiness across programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Experience supporting NPI and ramp-up in manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, process validation, and DFM.
• Experience with contract manufacturers and global supplier networks.
• Experience with root cause analysis, failure analysis, and corrective actions.
• Strong project management and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple programs and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead introduction of new products from development to scalable manufacturing.
• Collaborate with contract manufacturers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
• Drive DFM reviews to optimize cost, quality, and manufacturability.
• Oversee schedule adherence and risk mitigation for program timelines.
• Lead 8D problem-solving and root cause analysis activities.
• Support line bring-up, validation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Evaluate designs with contract manufacturers for manufacturability and roadmap alignment.
• Maintain manufacturing readiness dashboards and program trackers.
• Mentor new hires and support onboarding.
