Job summary

MKS Instruments' Vacuum Solution division seeks a Manufacturing Engineer in New Product Development to bridge product design and manufacturing, focusing on new product introductions and rapid prototyping for early customer builds.

You will collaborate with Product Development Engineering to develop manufacturing processes, create MES work instructions and routings, and lead continuous improvement across production areas, including PFMEA/DFX activities and automation opportunities.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical/Software engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in a mixed production environment.
• Knowledge of structured problem-solving tools and techniques.
• Experience with SPC tools and process control implementation.
• Lean manufacturing methodologies.
• Experience in PFMEA and DFx activities.

Responsibilities

• Bridge product design and manufacturing for new product introductions (NPI).
• Develop manufacturing processes for rapid prototyping to early customer builds.
• Create work instructions and routings within an MES system.
• Identify and track critical process parameters for yield and process improvements.
• Plan, prepare, train, and execute transfer to manufacturing.
