Job summary

First Solar seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to lead the transfer of new process programs from pre-production through manufacturing qualification to full implementation. You will develop master schedules, ramp plans, and budgets while coordinating across cross-functional teams and reporting to executives.

Successful candidates will demonstrate CMS change-management experience, strong presentation skills to senior leaders, and a solid understanding of OpEx/CapEx budgeting and cycle time

Qualifications

• Associates/Bachelors/MS/PhD in a technical discipline with relevant manufacturing experience.
• Experience leading programs through CMS change management and across sites.
• Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and present to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead transfer of new process/programs from pre-production to full implementation.
• Develop master schedule and ramp plans, tracking downtime and budgets.
• Identify risks and coordinate cross-functional activities across teams.
• Provide regular updates to GMO operations, sustaining and executive teams.
• Lead project tests and qualification activities, ensuring timelines are met.
• Manage program downtimes and throughput impacts, with proactive problem solving.
• Adhere to safety, housekeeping standards, and travel as required.
