Job summary

Fluence Energy, LLC seeks an experienced Manufacturing/Industrial Engineer to lead the introduction and ramp-up of new contract manufacturing sites for NPI programs. You will define production requirements, validate processes, and transition from prototype to full production with global CMs.

The role bridges design and manufacturing, driving efficiency, quality, and cost targets. You will collaborate with CM engineering, procurement, and QA to establish robust processes, track KPIs, and support

Qualifications

3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing or process engineering role.
Experience driving automation solutions for metal fabrication and component integration.
Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly high volume, low-mix production.
Experience in a manufacturing NPI role preferred.
Knowledge of manufacturing metrics such as OEE and yield; able to establish and track KPIs.
Knowledge of quality methods and requirements including APQP or stage gate release processes, ISO9001, TS16949.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
Ability to travel to CM locations with little advanced notice.

Responsibilities

Introduction, development, and establishment of new contract manufacturing locations and production capability.
Strategically execute NPI tasks related to the design and launch of new manufacturing capabilities.
Own CM relationships, provide inputs and monitor progress to meet timelines.
Coordinate prototype manufacturing activities including prototyping, purchasing/logistics, schedule, budget.
Create AME deliverables such as PFD, PFMEA, QCP, and manufacturing BOMs.
Participate in design reviews and DFA/DFM to influence manufacturability.
Bridge CM, engineering, and procurement on packaging requirements.
Develop and track manufacturing KPIs; support cost reduction and quality targets.
Travel 25-90% depending on production maturity; possible international travel.
