Job summary

First Solar is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with strong leadership and project management skills to drive new process changes across the DNM site. You will coordinate with cross-functional teams, plan manufacturing readiness, and manage training to ensure smooth technology transfers.

Responsibilities include leading process qualification, coordinating resources, and maintaining process documentation while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with 0–2 years' experience as First Solar Manufacturing Engineer I or 2–3 years in manufacturing engineering, or 2 years engineering experience and 4 years technical experience.
• MS Degree with 1–2 years engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Minimum 3–5 years of working experience in Manufacturing Operations or Engineering in high-tech industries preferred.
• Experience in project management and transfer of new processes or technology in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing readiness planning and execution for new technology and process changes across the DNM site (6 plants).
• Coordinate with Manufacturing Operations to mobilize resources for new process changes and training.
• Develop and manage training schedules and ensure completion prior to implementation.
• Maintain and update DNM WIP transfer configurations and inventory staging.
