Job summary
Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, seeks an NPI Manufacturing Engineer to drive manufacturability analyses and the transition from prototype to mass production. You will lead DFM reviews, partner with design and production teams, and implement new processes and equipment to ensure scalable readiness.
You will support global manufacturing programs, address documentation and quality challenges, and travel to manufacturing sites as needed to ensure robust
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
- Strong experience supporting global manufacturing operations and high-volume production.
- Experience with automated manufacturing lines and industrial automation.
- Knowledge of electronic assembly processes and production equipment (SMT, Soldering, Reflow, Pick and place).
- Willingness to travel to facilities in Mexico or Malaysia (~20%).
Responsibilities
- Lead DFM assessment and manufacturability analysis for new product development.
- Support scaled global manufacturing and mass production readiness.
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, production lines and automation solutions.
- Work with engineering teams to ensure designs meet manufacturability and cost targets.
- Support trial production, production ramp and mass production implementation.
- Drive cost reduction and manufacturing efficiency initiatives.
- Collaborate with automation teams and plants to implement new equipment and processes.
