Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions, a division of Amphenol Corporation, seeks a Global Industrial Engineer to drive standardization across CBS sites and support NPI readiness. The position is based in Valley Green, PA with 10–20% travel. Collaboration with Global NPI, Operations, and Finance is essential to align capacity and staffing with program forecasts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 3–5 years of IE/ manufacturing experience; multi-site or global experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of time study, standard labor, line balancing, takt time, OEE, and cost analysis.
• Experience with NPI, early manufacturing cost modeling, OpsPlan, and production ramps is preferred.
• Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint; exposure to Power BI, ERP/MRP, MES, SQL, Snowflake, SharePoint or similar systems is a plus.
• Lean manufacturing, problem solving, and continuous improvement expertise.

Responsibilities

• Drive global IE execution and standardization across CBS sites with NPI readiness and ramp planning.
• Develop common IE methods for cycle time, line balance, takt time, and labor productivity.
• Validate data with site IE teams and establish a single global baseline for decisions.
• Translate forecast and program plans into manufacturing requirements (labor, lines, hours).
• Provide data-driven recommendations to Global NPI, Operations, Planning, Finance, and site leadership.
• Support NPI Manufacturing Readiness for EVT through MP ramp activities and readiness checks.
• Perform time studies, work-content analysis, line design, and ergonomic assessments.
• Analyze capacity versus demand and identify bottlenecks with mitigation options.
• Develop early cost models during RFQ and concept phases to support quotes and business cases.
• Maintain labor, process, and conversion-cost baselines as products mature.
• Support OpsPlan and long-range manufacturing planning with multi-year scenarios.
• Assist CapEx planning by validating utilization and readiness dates.
• Benchmark CBS sites and promote standardization of IE calculations and layouts.
• Develop Power BI data models for capacity, utilization, and ramp readiness.
• Lead or support Lean and Kaizen initiatives with measurable results.
