Teradyne in Agoura Hills, CA seeks an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to bring new electro-mechanical products to life by partnering with cross-functional teams to move designs from concept through successful volume manufacturing. You will apply broad manufacturing engineering knowledge to develop assembly strategies and enable a smooth manufacturing transfer.

Qualifications

BS in Mechanical Engineering.
8+ years in manufacturing engineering or related field.
Experience evaluating models, BOMs, and drawings to define assembly methods.
Experience developing and maintaining assembly instructions and process docs.

Responsibilities

Champion manufacturing engineering activities for assigned NPI projects from concept through production transfer.
Partner with design engineering to evaluate product designs for manufacturability and identify risks.
Develop manufacturing strategies, assembly flows, and build plans to meet quality, schedule and readiness goals.
Guide hands-on builds to identify risks, validate methods, and propose improvements.
Define and approve detailed assembly instructions and process documentation for pilot and contract manufacturing teams.
Specify requirements for tools and fixtures and ensure they meet manufacturing needs.
Lead root-cause investigations and communicate findings to cross-functional teams.
Train personnel on assembly methods and risks; advise others on best practices.
