Job summary

Jiga is hiring a Manufacturing / NPI Engineer to be the technical and process spine that makes production-class work repeatable. You’ll own the engineering side of new-program introduction: DFM reviews, first-article inspection planning, and rigorous configuration control to move parts from prototype to mass production.

You’ll build deep supplier relationships, verify processes on the shop floor, and drive the program end-to-end from RFQ to ramp‑to‑volume, occasionally traveling to customer

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on manufacturing engineering, NPI, or production engineering experience.
• Experience running an NPI program from DFM through ramp to production.
• Experience with configuration control and revision management.
• Fluency in FAI, control plans, inspection plans, and quality protocols.
• Ability to read CAD drawings and understand GD&T.
• Exposure to multiple manufacturing processes (CNC, sheet metal, injection molding, castings).
• Fluent English with strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Own the NPI funnel from RFQ to production.
• Run structured DFM reviews on production candidates.
• Define process to move from prototype tooling to production tooling.
• Partner with the customer’s engineering team on design questions and trade-offs.
• Be the technical project manager for end-to-end programs.
• Be the engineering link to suppliers and drive upfront alignment.
• Run knowledge transfer in both directions between customers and suppliers.
• Provide on-site support at critical milestones when needed.
• Improve the system by building playbooks and platform features.
