Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation is seeking an NPI Engineering Technician to serve as the senior hands-on resource for introducing new and transferred products into serial production at Fort Worth. You will lead build execution for prototype, ECS, MCS, and first-of-kind units, install tooling, fixtures, and test equipment, and document processes and validation evidence for production release.

The role requires coordinating with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Design Engineering, and Supply Chain,

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED with extensive hands-on technician experience or an associate degree with relevant training.
3+ years supporting prototype, pilot, first-of-kind or validation builds.
Experience installing, setting up and troubleshooting tooling, fixtures, or production/test equipment.
Experience reading blueprints, schematics, process sheets and test procedures.
EPA 608 certification and Lean/Six Sigma are advantageous.

Responsibilities

Leads hands-on execution of prototype, ECS, MCS, pilot, and first-of-kind builds and coordinates with engineering to protect the build schedule.
Install, set up, commission, troubleshoot tooling, fixtures, gauges and test equipment for production readiness.
Read blueprints and process sheets to build and verify configurations; perform functional tests and checks.
Develop and update work instructions, visual aids, and routing inputs for manufacturing.
Train operators and junior technicians on new-product processes and quality standards.
