Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation seeks a skilled technician to lead prototype builds and tool setup on the manufacturing floor. You will install, commission and troubleshoot NPI tooling, read blueprints, perform validation checks, and help develop work instructions and routing with Manufacturing Engineering.

You will train operators and junior technicians, ensuring conformance to PFMEA, control plans and PPAP during launch; familiarity with SAP or ERP systems and Windchill is a plus.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in engineering, quality, lab or manufacturing tech in a factory setting.
• 3+ years supporting prototype, pilot, first-of-kind or validation builds.
• 3+ years reading blueprints, schematics, process sheets and test procedures.
• Experience installing and troubleshooting tooling and production equipment.
• Experience creating or revising work instructions and validation docs.

Responsibilities

• Leads hands-on execution of prototype and first-of-kind builds with production teams.
• Installs, Commissiones, troubleshoots tooling and test equipment for production readiness.
• Reads blueprints and tests configurations to verify designs.
• Develops work instructions, visual aids and routing with Manufacturing Engineering.
• Trains operators and junior technicians on new-product processes.
