Job summary
The Pivot Group Network in West Michigan is collaborating with Jenison-based manufacturers to identify an experienced NPI Engineer. This role focuses on leading manufacturing introductions from concept to mass production, ensuring manufacturability, cost-efficiency, and seamless pilot builds in high‑volume environments.
You will collaborate with design and R&D teams, develop processes, tooling, and control plans, conduct DFM/DFA reviews, and drive continuous improvement while building detailed
Qualifications
- Experience with NPI or high-volume manufacturing environments.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and BOMs.
- Knowledge of PLM and ERP systems integration.
Responsibilities
- Lead the manufacturing introduction of new products from concept to mass production.
- Collaborate with design and R&D teams to ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness of new designs.
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment for new product lines.
- Conduct DFM/DFA reviews and provide feedback to design teams to improve product design for manufacturing.
- Manage and execute pilot builds, ensuring smooth transition to production and resolving any manufacturing issues.
- Establish and maintain detailed manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flows, and control plans.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for NPI processes and product launches.
