Job summary

The Pivot Group Network, a West Michigan manufacturing-focused recruiting group, seeks an experienced NPI Engineer to Zeeland, MI to transfer products from design to manufacturing and to develop efficient production processes.

You will collaborate with R&D, ensure manufacturability, create process documentation, and support early production while pursuing long-term alignment with partner companies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in NPI engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to interpret schematics, Gerber files, and mechanical drawings.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and DFM principles.
• Experience with CAD software (Altium Designer, SolidWorks).
• Familiarity with PLM systems and revision control methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the transfer of new products from design to manufacturing.
• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for new product introduction.
• Collaborate with R&D and design teams to ensure manufacturability of new products.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for NPI related issues.
• Define and procure necessary equipment, tooling, and fixtures for new product lines.
• Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and process flows.
• Support pilot production runs and resolve technical issues during early production phases.
