Job summary

The Pivot Group Network in Lansing, MI is recruiting an experienced NPI Engineer to drive the transfer of new products from design to manufacturing. You will collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to optimize designs for manufacturability and scale production.

Responsibilities include developing processes, tooling and equipment for new products, conducting validation, leading root-cause analysis, and defining control plans. Salary ranges $80,000-$120,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of NPI or manufacturing engineering in high-volume production.
• Strong understanding of PCB design, fabrication and assembly.
• Proficiency with CAD tools for schematic capture and layout review.
• Experience with manufacturing test methods and equipment (ICT, FCT, AOI).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics and BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Drive the transfer of new products from design to manufacturing.
• Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing to optimize designs for manufacturability.
• Develop and implement manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment for new products.
• Conduct process validation and qualification to ensure product quality and reliability.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for new product manufacturing issues.
• Define and implement process control plans and quality gates for new product introduction.
• Participate in design reviews to provide manufacturing input and ensure DFM principles are applied.
