Job summary

The Pivot Group Network, a West Michigan manufacturing-focused recruiting group, is seeking an NPI Engineer in Caledonia, MI. This role focuses on transferring new products from design to manufacturing and optimizing manufacturability with R&D and production teams.

You will develop processes, tooling, and equipment for new product introductions, while validating quality and reliability through rigorous testing and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of NPI experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to translate CAD/schematics into manufacturing processes.
• Experience with PLM and ERP systems.
• Strong problem-solving in a fast-paced cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

• Drive the successful transfer of new products from design to manufacturing.
• Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to optimize product design for manufacturability and testability.
• Develop and implement manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment for new product introduction.
• Conduct process validation and qualification activities to ensure product quality and reliability.
• Identify and resolve technical challenges during the NPI phase, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Create and maintain comprehensive manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and process specifications.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance NPI efficiency and reduce time-to-market.
