Job summary
The Pivot Group Network is seeking an NPI Engineer in Allegan, MI to lead the transfer of new products from design to manufacturing and to optimize manufacturing processes for new products.
Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 3+ years in NPI/manufacturing engineering, and have experience reading schematics, Gerber files, PCBAs, DFM/DFT, and CAD/PLM tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in NPI or manufacturing engineering within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, Gerber files, and mechanical drawings.
- Strong understanding of PCBA manufacturing processes, including SMT, wave solder, and final assembly.
- Experience with DFM and DFT principles.
- Proficiency in CAD software (Altium Designer, Eagle, SolidWorks) and PLM systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead the transfer of new products from design to manufacturing.
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for new products.
- Collaborate with R&D and design teams to ensure manufacturability.
- Conduct DFM/DFT reviews and provide feedback to product development.
- Manage and resolve technical issues during new product introduction.
- Define and implement production control plans for new products.
- Support pilot production runs and ramp-up activities.
- Create and maintain manufacturing documentation for new products.
